Novatrials is seeking volunteers with non-melanoma skin cancer to participate in a clinical study of a potential new treatment using a non-invasive device that emits a very gentle whole-body pulsed electric field. When paired with a commonly used medication, this low-intensity field and the medication has the potential to cause cancer cells to destroy themselves.
This study focuses on skin cancers in sensitive locations such as the chest, back, legs, arms and abdomen.
What to Expect
Participants will undergo:
- An initial skin biopsy
- Three treatment cycles (one week apart)
- Each cycle involves two consecutive 2-hour appointments
- Surgical removal of the skin cancer at 6 weeks
- Five follow-up visits over 12 months
Eligibility Requirements
You may be invited to participate if you:
- Are aged 40–75 years
- Have non-melanoma skin cancer on the chest, back, legs, arms or abdomen
- Can attend appointments at our Charlestown clinic
Participant Benefits
All trial-related medical care and medication is provided at no cost by our dedicated healthcare team. Travel reimbursement is also provided for all study visits.
