Do you have high cholesterol and high triglycerides? This common condition, called mixed hyperlipidaemia, means your blood contains too much of certain fats. When left untreated, it can increase your risk of heart disease, stroke, and other serious health problems. Currently, many people need to take multiple medications to manage both conditions.
About the Study
Novatrials is seeking volunteers with hyperlipidaemia to join a clinical study of a potential new investigational treatment. The investigational treatment has been designed to specifically address both elevated cholesterol and triglycerides. The investigational treatment is administered through a small subcutaneous injection, similar to insulin or vaccines.
The purposes of this study are to:
- Test whether the investigational treatment is safe and causes side effects
- Understand how the investigational treatment works in your body
- Monitor how your immune system responds to the investigational treatment
What to Expect
- Step 1: Phone screening (up to 30 minutes)
- Step 2: In-person screening visits (approximately 2 hours each)
- Step 3: Two-night clinic stay for treatment start
- Step 4: Up to four in-clinic visits over a 24- or 36-week period (visits last up to 2 hours)
Eligibility Requirements
You may be eligible to join this trial if you:
- Are over 18 years of age
- Are willing to stay 2 nights in clinic.
- Have been diagnosed with high cholesterol and high triglycerides (mixed hyperlipidaemia)
- Are not pregnant or planning to conceive
Full eligibility criteria will be discussed during phone screening.
Participant Benefits
