Update February 2020: Recruitment for this study has now closed.

Have you had one or more gout attacks in the past 12 months and do you have access to a smartphone or tablet with internet? Then you might be interested in joining a UNSW Sydney research study to test a new mobile application (app) for people with gout.

To take part in the study, you will:

  • Use a mobile app for one year and record gout attacks;
  • See your GP and have blood tests (uric acid and creatinine) 3 times a year;
  • Fill out 3 surveys, including questions about your gout and treatment.

You will be reimbursed for your time with a $30 gift voucher, after completing both a blood test and a survey at each time point of the study: the start, at 6 months, and 12 months ($90 in total).

The study is taking place Australia-wide.

If you would like to participate, you can see if you’re eligible and express your interest here. Alternatively, please click here to contact us.
