Novatrials is seeking volunteers who are overweight and living with type 2 diabetes for a clinical study of a potential new treatment. The study medication is a once-weekly injection just under the skin. It is designed to reduce body weight and improve blood sugar levels.
What to Expect
Participants will undergo:
- Phone consultation up to 30 minutes
- One initial screening visit
- In-clinic visits every 4 weeks for 18 months
Eligibility Requirements
You may be suitable to join this study if you:
- Are aged 18 years or older
- Have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and receiving stable therapy for at least 3 months
- Have a BMI over 27 (calculate your BMI)
- Are not currently on any weight loss medication and have not previously undergone weight loss surgery
- Have been unsuccessful in losing weight with diet and exercise in the past 6 months
