Project Title: Global Clinical Study of Renal Denervation with the Symplicity SPYRALTM multi-electrode renal denervation system in Patients with Uncontrolled Hypertension on Standard Medical Therapy
In some individuals with hypertension, medications alone are not effective at reducing or controlling blood pressure. It is believed that the nerves in the kidney are overactive and contribute to high blood pressure.
Renal Denervation is a procedure that has been shown to decrease blood pressure by disrupting the kidney nerves. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to provide more information about how Renal Denervation can be used to help treat high blood pressure in patients whose blood pressure is not controlled, despite treatment with up to three blood pressure medications.
If you have any of the following below, you may be eligible for the trial!
- Uncontrolled hypertension on 1,2 or 3 blood pressure medications
