Project Title: Role of Sympathetic Activation in Ischemia Reperfusion Injury
The aim of the study is to investigate the effectiveness of remote ischemic preconditioning (RIPC) in healthy male individuals. In current research, RIPC has been shown to reduce the severity of heart attacks.
Our research team will determine whether the protection of RIPC can be replicated with drugs that block this activity. It is expected that this study will demonstrate the importance of inhibiting sympathetic “fight or flight” responses with RIPC or use of medication.
