If you, or someone you know, are suffering from diagnosed PTSD, Novatrials is looking for volunteers to participate in a potential new treatment study.
About the Study
The study aims to measure the efficacy of a once daily oral medication taken in the morning, one hour prior to food.
The treatment combines two medications that are already approved for other conditions and are being trialed together to treat mental health conditions.
This study is testing whether combining these medications may provide better symptom relief than current standard treatments for PTSD.
What to Expect
The study includes a 3-month treatment period, with 4 in-clinic visits, and a one-week follow-up visit.
Eligibility Requirements
Participants may be eligible to join the study if they:
- Are aged 18 to 65 years
- Have been diagnosed with PTSD
- Are clinically stable on a current medication and/or therapy program for at least 2 months
- Are willing to remain on any current doses of medications throughout the length of the study
- Are willing and able to safely stop any medication that is unsuitable to be taken together with the study medication
Unfortunately, we cannot enrol participants who:
- Are currently being treated with benzodiazepines or opiates
- Have a diagnosis of substance use disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorder or borderline personality disorder
- Are breastfeeding, pregnant or trying to conceive
