ISAAC Trial – Invasive Strep A: Defining the Role of Antibiotic Prophylaxis in Contact Management

In the ISAAC trial, household contacts of iGAS (Invasive Group A Strep) cases will be invited to participate in the study. People who take part will be randomised to receive either: no antibiotics, a beta-lactam antibiotic or azithromycin. Participants will be asked to take throat swabs at baseline and day 14 to test for secondary iGAS.
