Novatrials is seeking healthy volunteers to join a clinical study of a new potential treatment for kidney dysfunction. As part of this trial, you may receive the study drug or a placebo.
Eligibility Requirements
You may be suitable to join this study if you:
- Have no significant medical conditions
- Are not taking any medications (contraception is allowed)
- Are aged between 18 and 65
- Are not pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive
What to Expect
This study will be conducted in two parts.
Part A participants will undergo:
- Screening period: 1 screening visit of 2-3hrs, within 28 days prior to the study taking place
- Treatment period: 2- or 3-night in-clinic stay
- Post-treatment follow-up period: 1 follow up visit of 1-2hrs
Part B participants will undergo:
- Screening period: 1 screening visit of 2-3hrs, within 28 days prior to the study taking place
- Treatment period: 8- or 9-night in-clinic stay
- Post-treatment follow-up period: 2 follow up visit of 1-2hrs
Your in-clinic stay includes:
- Comfortable sleeping arrangements in a clean, safe environment
- Three nutritious meals per day plus snacks
- Free Wi-Fi throughout the facility
- Luxurious common areas with entertainment options, and quiet break-out spaces for work or study
- 24/7 trial-related medical supervision and support
Participant Reimbursement
We recognise that your time is valuable. Participants in Part A will receive up to $1,200 (2-night stay) or up to $1,800 (3-night stay) for completing the study.
Participants in Part B will receive up to $4,800 (8-night stay) or up to $5,400 (9-night stay) for completing the study.
We may screen additional potential participants so that there are backup participants (called alternates) if someone chooses not to continue. This means it is possible you may complete the screening visit and not continue to the remainder of the study. If you are an alternate not required for dosing on day 1, and/or deemed not eligible for dosing on day 1, you may receive $600 to compensate you for your time.
