Novatrials is seeking volunteers who have been previously diagnosed with ASCVD to join a clinical study of a potential new oral treatment that may help reduce atherosclerotic plaque.
Eligibility Requirements
You may be suitable to join this study if you:
- Are aged 18 to 75 years
- Have been previously diagnosed with ASCVD by coronary angiography
- Are currently using lipid-lowering therapy (e.g. statins, ezetimibe, niacin, or fibrates) and have been on a stable dose for more than 4 weeks
- Have not had a stroke in the past 6 months
- Have not had a heart attack or uncontrolled arrhythmia in the past 3 months
- Have not undergone any major surgery in the past 3 months and are not planning to undergo any major surgery in the next 12 months

What to Expect
Participants will attend Novatrials for a total of 9 visits in 13 months which includes:
- Screening period of 4 weeks, includes 1 in-clinic visit
- Treatment period of 52 weeks, includes 7 in-clinic visits
- Post-treatment follow-up period of 2 weeks, includes 1 in-clinic visit
