Established in 2008, Woden Dermatology has experience in over 15 clinical trials in phases II and III. Disease conditions include psoriasis, acne, actinic keratosis, atopic dermatitis (eczema), and hidradenitis suppurativa. Additional research interests include alopecia, basal cell carcinoma, dermatitis, psoriatic arthritis, rosacea, and seborrheic dermatitis.
The site has 4 examination rooms, secure temperature-controlled storage, and centrifuge, as well as access to 12-lead ECG, x-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound services. Investigators and staff are trained in ICH Good Clinical Practice.
Principal Investigator Dr. Diana Rubel graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1989 with her medical degree and continued her training at Sydney University where she received her masters of medicine specializing in skin immunology in 1996. She worked at the Skin and Cancer Foundation for over 10 years before opening Woden Dermatology. Dr. Rubel is a consultant dermatologist in private practice at Woden Dermatology, a visiting medical officer at The Canberra Hospital, and Senior Lecturer at the Australian National University (ANU).
