St. Vincent’s Hospital is a major public hospital. We have departmental ties with Pharmacy, Radiology, Pathology, all outpatient dept’s, MRI, Dexa, CT etc. We also have our own dept. minilab which has centrifuge, -80 and -20 freezers, fridges etc. Our medical records are now electronic. We have 3 medical staff as investigators and 3 nurses on the clinical trials team including a diabetes educator. All our staff are gcp trained and have extensive clinical trial experience. We have our own ethics committee and also a ‘valet’ ethics service which guarantees quick review timelines. We have had 2 sponsor initiated internal audits which were satisfactory, we have not had any TGA audits.
