This clinical trials centre was established in 1997 by Prof Dedee Murrell. She had undertaken a dermatopharmacology fellowship at Duke University, USA in 1989-1990, which involved designing studies and their statistical analysis. During her dermatology training at UNC Chapel Hill, she designed and funded her own RCT for Psoriasis, completed in the GCRC. With additional years of basic laboratory research in dematology at UNC, New York University and Rockefeller University, Prof Murrell is involved in the spectrum of designing to implementing clinical trials. Our centre has an excellent reputation for GCP, recruitment and output.
