North Eastern Health Specialists has experience in clinical trials from phases I through III. Disease conditions include psoriasis, atopic dermatitis (eczema), actinic keratosis, basal cell carcinoma, and hidradenitis suppurativa. Additional research interests include acne, allergies, dermatitis, herpes simplex, keloids, keratinization disorders, melasma, onychomycosis (nail fungus), premalignant skin conditions, urticaria, and vitiligo.

The site has 4 examination rooms, secure, temperature-controlled storage, -20 freezer, and centrifuge, as well as access to x-ray and ECG services. Investigators and staff are trained in ICH Good Clinical Practice.

Principal Investigator Dr. Shireen Sidhu maintains close ties with the South Australian medical community by serving as Head of the Dermatology Unit and Visiting Medical Officer in Dermatology at Royal Adelaide Hospital. She also holds a Clinical Senior Lecturer position with her alma mater, the University of Adelaide School of Medicine.

Dr. Sidhu is widely respected among the academic community for her range and depth of dermatological expertise. She is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and the Royal College of Physicians (London), and a Member of the European Academy of Dermatologists and Venereologists, the South Australia Salaried Medical Officers Association, the Australasian Dermatopathology Society, and the American Academy of Dermatologists.
