Research Translate Evolve

The Mackay Institute of Research and Innovation (MIRI) is a Queensland based translational research and innovation centre. Our goal is to shape the future of the Mackay Hospital and Health Service by facilitating cutting-edge research and translation of scientific advances and new health knowledge into clinical practice.

Although still in our infancy, having formed in 2017, we have participated and continue to participate in Clinical Trials including Phase II and III trials, offering support to Clinicians who wish to contribute to University and Pharmacological Research.

As a member of the Tropical Australian Academic Health Centre (TAAHC), MIRI is also active in the new TeleTrial concept developed between 4 HHSs covering rural and regional areas within Northern Queensland.
