Australian researchers are testing a potential new treatment for obesity and weight-related comorbidities in adolescents.
This is a 76 week study and may include up to 23 visits. Your adolescent will be treated at no cost, and participation in the study will include standard body assessments and blood collection. All information gathered will be confidential. Participation is completely voluntary, and you or your child may choose to be withdrawn from the study at any time and for any reason.
Your child may be able to participate if they meeting the following criteria:
- Have a BMI that falls within the obesity range
- Additionally have 2 of: hypertension, prediabetes, hypertriglyceridemia
- Have tried unsuccessfully to diet previously
- Have a caregiver who can either attend or be called during study visits
- Be otherwise in good general health
This study will take place at Cornerstone Dermatology, located at Coorparoo, Queensland. The expression of interest form below must be submitted by an adult caregiver. Expressing your interest does not automatically mean that your child will be able to take part in the study.
