Australian researchers are looking for healthy volunteers to test a potential new medical treatment for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). IPF is a lung condition that causes progressive scarring of the lungs, leading to shortness of breath and persistent coughing.
This is a healthy volunteer study in which you will be treated at no cost. Participation in the study will include standard body assessments, blood collection, and questionnaires. All information gathered will be confidential. Participation is completely voluntary, and you may choose to be withdrawn from the study at any time and for any reason.
You may be able to participate if you meet the following criteria:
- Age 26-65
- BMI of 18-32 kg/m²
- Weigh at least 50kg
- Non-smoker
- Permanent sterilisation (post-menopausal, vasectomy, etc.)
- Be in general good health
Expressing your interest does not automatically mean that you will be able to take part in the study. There will be reimbursement for your participation.
